It's pretty evident there is political vendetta in the air,same thing as the Hsinchu mayor Kao Hong-An's fall before that. Great analysis there Angelica ! Well documented and argumented!

To me the TPP made a huge strategic error in not going to bat for Gao. Another outrageous case. Perhaps more so give the piddling amounts.

Ahhh good catch. I think I meant to say something like “his political persona which is based on his previous career as an emergency room doctor has been shattered.” I’ll fix it later.

Ko is a tragic figure in a way. Like a lot of tragic figures his greatest strength also becomes his greatest weakness. He is a political outsider, but he just have no idea how things work in politics. He prides himself on his high IQ, but his pride leads him to do objectively stupid things.
